What a wonderful example to America. People need to see that money and possessions are not the most important things in life. But a close and obedient relationship with God the Father, and love for one’s family, friends, and neighbors.

This is great. It is more than time to get the world to understand the truth about our lovinng savior and God.

This is someone who serves a sovereign God and understands who is in charge and who provides his daily bread. God Bless he and family.

A great example of courageous faith, even in the midst of terrible adversity.
Also, at the risk of sounding insensitive and/or nit-picky, I think we should keep in mind that God didn’t do this. Severe weather ultimately goes back to the Flood, and the Flood resulted from sin. This terrible tragedy serves to remind us that this world is not our home, and it serves to encourage us toward a place where there will be no more tragedies of any kind. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above” (Jam. 1:17)!

God allowed it but it was Satan who troubled Job (Job 1:12) and who seeks to trouble us. Jason reminds us to trust in God whatever the circumstances. Our prayers are with him and his family. His faith is an encouragement to us. May God and his people continue to see them through times that most of us can’t even imagine.
