MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA (BNc) — Dr. Eulie R. Brannan returned to the pulpit to preach Sunday morning, April 16, at the University Church of Christ. At 94 years of age he stood behind the pulpit and did a masterful job proclaiming the gospel of Christ.
Dr. Brannan was the first minister for the College church on the old campus of Alabama Christian College in the late 1950’s until 1965. Alabama Christian College moved to the new campus and Brannan preached in the college rotunda two and one-half years before the University church building was built. Brother Brannan and Clyde E. Fulmer co-ministered at the college church at that time.
Dr. Brannan served as Dean at Alabama Christian College and Faulkner University before becoming President of the University. The extra-large attendance Sunday morning attested to the love and respect former students and friends have for him.
After living in the Huntsville, AL area for several years, Dr. Brannan recently placed membership with the University church which is located on the campus of Faulkner University in Montgomery. Next quarter he will be teaching the adult auditorium Bible class on the book of Proverbs. Services are archived at www.ucoc.org and may be watched online at any time.
