BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (BNc)- The building of the Mt. Pleasant church caught fire and it is a total loss, wrote Wayne Hatcher, of the Horse Cave congregation.
The building was finished in 1998, according to the church’s website. It’s located at 10980 Highway 185, about 12 miles north of Bowling Green.

“I know we all are saddened to hear of this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with our good brethren at Mt. Pleasant,” Wayne wrote.
The congregation was established in 1838 at the preaching of Alexander Campbell.

I saw an AP story over the weekend which stated that the Mount Zion congregation’s building had burned last Friday – only eight miles from the Mount Pleasant building. The brief story stated the Mount Zion fire was arson-caused. Any additional news to report on either fire?
