KIEV, Ukraine (BNc) About 55 young people from the Kiev area attended a youth meeting on Saturday, Oct. 2. They came mainly from the Harkivsky, Licova, Obolon, Shevchenko and Vinogradar congregations.
The theme was Youth: the Church of Tomorrow.
Four thirty-minute lessons were presented by Eugene Shevchenko, Sasha Petrenko and Rick Walker. Kostya Kysilenko from the distant city of Bila Tserkva was unable to attend due to a back injury and thus Eugene presented two lessons. There were discussion groups after three of the lessons.
The effort was spearheaded by Andrey Noyes of the Vinogradar congregation. The meeting was held in the building of the Obolon congregation. It was agreed that in December they will start having a monthly youth meeting with the length decreased from six to three hours.
