PARAGOULD, Ark. (BNC) — Former elder Alfred E. Rowe passed away March 26 at age 88. He was one of the original saints who established the Center Hill congregation in 1961, where he later served many years as one of the elders.

It was during his service that the congregation assumed responsibility for sending our family to Brazil in 1984. We enjoyed a positive relationship with the congregation for many years.

At the time, Alfred served with fellow elders Bill Cline, Jerry Jetton, and Vernon Lacey.

Alfred was a stable and encouraging influence for us and for many people over decades of godly service, in many areas of work, such as Crowley’s Ridge Academy and Crowley’s Ridge College.

We extend our sympathies to Alfred’s family and give thanks with them for his example as a man of God.
