TRENTON, Tex. (BNC) — Harold Dean Sneed, evangelist, elder and missionary to the Northwest US, passed away Jan. 31, 2019. He was 87.
Harold served the Lord as a gospel preacher/evangelist for more than 30 years. He and Marcia did missionary work together in the Northwest for 10 years.
Harold was born June 15, 1931 in Eastland, Texas. His parents were Paul and Minnie Stiles Sneed. He married Thelma Perkins on Oct. 5, 1952. She preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 1990. He later married Marcia Lynn Smith Cruse on Apr. 21, 1991.
He had an Associate Degree from Texas Tech University, was a graduate of the Preston Road School of Preaching and was a member of the Trenton congregation where he served as an elder.
He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.
Harold passed away at the Texoma Medical Center of Bonham Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019.
Harold is survived by his wife Marcia Lynn Sneed of Leonard; his children Michael Harold Sneed of Mansfield, TX, Ricky Dean Sneed of Cromer NSW, Australia, Carol Cruse Dutilly and Tracy Hampton, both of Leonard; his brother Vernon Sneed of Houston and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Minnie Sneed; his wife Thelma Sneed; his six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019 at the Trenton congregation’s building. Johnny McCaghren officiated. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery.

Harold Sneed was one of the finest brothers in Christ I have ever known. Never has there been a sweeter or gentler man in the brotherhood. God’s speed Harold. Thank you for all you have done for me over the years.
