GALLATIN, Tenn. (BNC) — The Nashville Road congregation posted a paraphrase of 1 Corinthians 6.9 on their marquis: “People who practice homosexual acts will not inherit heaven 1 Cor 6:9.”

A local Nashville TV station, the ABC affiliate WKRN, says the sign was “controversial.”

The other side of the sign affirmed that “God’s wrath stands against homosexual marriage Rom 1:24-32.”

But gospel preacher Charles Williams said that he had received “a lot of positive feedback from the community,” but only one complaint.

The homosexual movement in the US has successfully turned the conversation to their side. Any time a church proclaims the truth of the gospel, they accuse Christians of discrimination and of stirring controversy.

The media have largely bought into the homosexual agenda, and many in government promote it.

The news report ended with a homosexual leader advocating dialog, complaining that the church sign was “demonizing people.” What such advocates actually seek, however, is to silence churches and anyone who opposes their position.

Not 50 years ago, homosexuality was largely rejected in American society. Today, taking a stance against it is now considered controversial.

Charles was firm in the news interview about the biblical teaching on homosexuality.

“If a gay person wants to attend my church, that’s fine, but they are still going to hear the word of God preached, and we will still love that person,” he said.
