ARAPAL, Philippines (BNc) — Filipino worker Salvador Cariaga posted a number of baptism photos Jan. 8, some of which appear to be results of contacts through disaster relief.
One picture particularly stood out, that of a man being baptized in the ocean as the sun dips into the horizon.
Not every baptism makes a pretty photo. But, when the person responds in faith and repentance, every single one is a scene of spiritual beauty as God cleanses from sin by the blood of Christ.
For those who have yet to experience such cleansing, we recommend this short study.
No link is provided for the photo, posted on Facebook, where links are not generally acessible. It was, however, a “public” posting.

The Disaster Assistance CoC Mission is helping with this work. Here is update from Salvador about Sunday 1/5 over 500 people attended service at the Arapal Christian Camp.
Salvador Cariaga – Dodong Cabarles baptized most of the 65 who came forward today in Arapal. He has worked tirelessly here for years with only a little success in building up the church. This week, this little man became a giant in many eyes, including mine. His years of sacrifice and hard work suddenly came to life. His message and delivery has also stepped up like I have never heard him preach before. God shined upon him brightly after the storm.

This is indeed a spectacular photo of the burial of the old man in God’s great ocean…may He bless all who had a part in this great event of the new birth into the Lord Jesus

What a joy to behold this burial and resurrection and to hear wonderful news of God’s work in the Philippines. After the dark clouds of a terrible storm, bright hope emerges for the soul.
