(BNc) — Michael Hildreth departs today with his family for a four-year mission effort in Tarlac City, Philippines.
According to the Biblical Notes website, for which he is a staff writer, Michael is a native of San Diego, Calif., and was baptized there in 2000.
In 2006 he decided to dedicate his life to preaching the gospel and to the growth of the Lord’s church. He is a graduate of the Philippine Bible College (2008) and the Brown Trail School of Preaching (2010), in Bedford, Tex.
He has taught the word of life in six U.S. states, Germany, India, and extensively in the Philippines. He has taken part in several gospel meetings, lectureships, missions, vacation Bible schools, radio preaching, and one public debate.
He has been married to his wife Myla since 2006 and they have three children together, Abraham, Apple and Beulah.
The Hildreths’ work is overseen by the Sherman Drive congregation in Denton, Tex.
In an email sent this morning, Michael wrote, “We request your prayers for our success. I intend to send monthly updates during the last week of each month with details of our situation and our progress.”
