Prentice Meador passed from this life Nov. 25, at 6:08 a.m.
“Surrounded by his wife, all of his children and their spouses, his sister, brother- and sister-in-law, Prentice finished the race and crossed the finish line into the arms of Jesus, where he was greeted, no doubt, by his mother and dad,” the family wrote on the weblog for updates on his condition.
According to Mark Abshier, preaching minister with MacArthur Park church in San Antonio, Tex., and former missionary in Brasília, Prentice had been a leader in getting the church planted in that city and the first mission team sent.
Mark and his wife Ellen were part of the second wave of missionaries to join that work.
“I have appreciated him for so many things over the years and look forward to seeing him in the resurrection,” Mark wrote.
Prentice and his wife Barbara had been married 48 years.
