SÃO JOSÉ DOS CAMPOS, Brazil (BNC) — The Urbanova congregation in this major Brazilian city has received a number of foreign visitors in the past, through industry contacts. In order to keep information up to date and the website available, a move was made last week to a new host.
The name of the site is Christians in São José dos Campos offering “English-language information about Christians in SJCampos and region.”
The congregation uses an online version of the TiddlyWiki sofware that allows easy updates.
The website was created in 2014 and a BNC story gave the rationale for its creation, since Portuguese is the language of Brazil.
The site offers visitors tips about the meetings, since there are cultural differences from one country to another.
The site also provides an overview of missions in the country as a whole.
Although keeping a website updated regularly can be challenging, outdated information can be detrimental to users.
Little international travel has been done during governmental lockdowns over the past two years, but there is hope that these will be lifted soon.
