TEXAS, Odessa (BNc) – Follow-up information from Faye:
Tonight I comforted an ICU doctor agonizing over the COVID patients who weren’t savable.
He was feeling guilty that there was no time to assess the four patients on the floor who desperately needed the only available ICU bed because there were three ICU patients who had to be intubated and kept alive.
He was also worrying about how to write good documentation after a 14-hour shift – expecting it to take until 2 a.m. – but knowing his next shift starts at 7 a.m.
Tonight I watched a surgeon – who had been up all night as a volunteer in ICU (to help the ICU doctors) – tiredly reassure an ER doctor preparing to volunteer in ICU tonight, doing work he hasn’t done since he finished residency many years ago.
Tonight I saw nurses on the floor exhausted from caring for more patients than normal so that other nurses could go care for COVID patients.
Today my office had multiple calls telling us the operating rooms are being shut down except for cancer and emergencies because the nurses are being pulled to work with COVID patients.
Tonight I listened to a hospital administration report that there are more beds ready in our makeshift ICU, but there are no nurses to take care of the patients who need them.
Tonight my heart ached as I heard that 9 out of 10 ICU patients (and all patients who are intubated) are unvaccinated.
Tonight I fought down panic as I tried to figure out how to convince my family and friends and fellow West Texans that the risks of the vaccine are lower than the risks of COVID.
Tonight I’m asking you to think again about the vaccine if you haven’t already had it. Think about the doctors and nurses and respiratory therapists who are exhausted and overwhelmed. Please reconsider the vaccine.
Please ask your doctor if you have questions.

Whether you agree with Faye’s appeal or not, it is made by a medical professional who is saddened by seeing people die from Covid-19 every day, and who sincerely wants suffering to be avoided. I find peace and relief from being vaccinated. I find comfort in those encouraging others to be vaccinated and thereby better protected.

For some folks, compassion is being spread by Faye’s appeal! Compassion for the wonderful health-care workers who are serving so well under extremely taxing circumstances. Compassion for those who are suffering and dying from Covid-19. Compassion for their families. The brother of one Christian I know, was in the hospital for eight weeks. He still cannot walk. He has recently been able to speak again. Therapy will be required for a year for him to regain his strength.

I trust God but still wear a seat belt.
I wear a seat belt knowing that in some circumstances I could be injured, unable to release the belt to escape a car that could be burning. My odds are better with the belt.

Do you also wear a hard hat, steel toed shoes, raincoat, gloves, safety glasses, earmuffs, ear plugs, etc every day? You sound like a nice person, but are simply paranoid, afraid and uninformed. I don’t think you’ll be happy until you are forcefully locked behind four walls and waiting for your next instruction from….WHO? CDC? Local News? Good luck.

I trust God and I got vaccinated because God never promised to protect me from diseases.
The souls under the altar in Revelation 6 who were waiting for God to avenge their martyrdom trusted God who did not protect them from an early death.
The males two years and under near Bethlehem all were killed regardless of trust in God.

Our prayer requests have included families who lost members from COVID but never families who lost members from the vaccination. I am concenced from what I see that vaccination is a wise choice. I have been vaccinated and my daughter-in-law who has a weak immune system has already had her booster as recommended by her doctor.
I trust God and I trust my doctor’s knowledge and advice regarding health issues.

Well, one thing is for certain; Brother Davison will have to answer up for continuing to spread fear unnecessarily. He saw the comments to his first posting of this subject, but apparently he enjoys sowing discord among the brotherhood and has doubled down by rubbing salt in an open wound. This speaks volumes to me about character. I say this because I don’t see him posting anything about the shot contains aborted fetus tissue and other undesired dna modifiers. Oh well….

Could you be spreading fear?
From what I read only J&J has residue grown from fetus.
If I discover a crew member from my new roof was arrested as a pedefile what should I do? Burn the house? Sell and benefit from the contaminated money? Perhaps just re-roof again with a better vetted crew?
What if a worker from the Toyota plant nearby where my car was manufacturer is convicted as a murderer, can I still use my car?
If I Vote for a sheriff who later shoots and kills someone am I guilty of murder?
If I “enable” someone to commit a crime, stay on drugs, etc. am I guilty? If so does that make God guilty since he enabled all the evil in the world?

How far does such reasoning take us? Can we eat food grown with commercial fertilizer or must we only eat organic?

I used to enjoy reading Brotherhood News. I do not enjoy it anymore due to the last two articles containing absolutely nothing pertaining to Christ and His kingdom.

The problem is possibly related to the nursing shortage.
As with all medical treatment, it must be done on a case by case basis and not one size fits all for the whole country.
