Shallowater, TEXAS (BNC) – “God’s house is for all nations” was the title of a powerful sermon against racism presented by Gary A. Goff at the 12th Street church of Christ in Shallowater, Texas on June 14, 2020.
He shows that racism is contrary to the teaching of Christ. He also emphasizes that opposition to racism is no excuse for vandalism, theft, property damage and murder!
He explains that when Jesus cleansed the temple He declared God’s house to be for all nations! He reviews the spread of the gospel to include all peoples in the first ten chapters of Acts.
Brother Goff, an elder of the Shallowater congregation, is a retired prosecuting attorney. He was elected Hockley County Attorney in 1986, and in 1989 he was elected District Attorney for the two-county district, Cochran and Hockley, between Lubbock and the New Mexico border. He was re-elected to this office for five more terms before retiring in 2012. He was high school principal at Lubbock Christian School from 1977 to 1982. He has served as a self-supported preacher for various periods at North Beckley, West Virginia and in Texas at Smyer, Levelland and Shallowater.
