KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (BNc) — With a new name, the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies (SEIBS, formerly East Tennessee School of Preaching) is revamping its lectureship as well, Jody Apple, Director of Information & Technology, said today.
SEIBS has moved its 39th annual lectureship up one week to Feb. 24-27, 2013. The theme is “Lord, Make Me a Servant.”
The change keeps SEIBS’ lectures from conflicting with those of Faulkner University.
The lectureship book also undergoes a facelift, Jody said. Rather than a traditional hardback, the lecture content comes in in a 26-lesson softcover book with two quarters’ worth of Bible class material.
Speakers and book contributors this year include Allen Webster, Earl Edwards, Clarence DeLoach, Steve Baggett, among others.
The new book format is designed to be useful in the kingdom for years to come, Jody wrote.
At the 2013 lectures, SEIBS will also make available all 39 years of their lectures in digital format. Check the new SEIBS site for more details.
