TARLAC CITY, Philippines (BNc) — “We have arrived safely in the Philippines!” Michael Hildreth wrote yesterday to BNc. He and his family just moved there to begin a new congregation.
“I am beginning a new work in Tarlac City with the help of some local preachers and members of the Body. It will be a newly planted congregation and Tarlac Bible School,” Michael wrote Nov. 28 to BNc.
The city, located in the Central Luzon region, has a population of 314,000, with 76 barangays, or neighborhoods.
Michael’s overseeing congregation is the Sherman Drive church in Denton, Tex. He was located in Fort Worth before their move to the Philippines.
Michael and family spent their last Sunday in the US with the Sherman Drive church, preacher Weylan Deaver said. They left the next day, Nov. 26, for the Philippines.
Michael is a staff writer for Biblical Notes and for a publication for Ilocano churches in the Philippines called “Bagnos.” The name means “Guide”.

very encouraging to see new work begin in other countries as North America languishes in apathy. May God bless this work richly!
