SEARCY, Ark. (BNc) — Six Harding University students were involved in a serious auto accident on the way to Fort Worth for Spring Break on Friday, March 2.
After one car was rear ended, Ty Howard Osman, II, a freshman from Nashville, Tenn., got out his vehicle to check on the other car. When he was going back to his vehicle, it was struck by another auto, and he was hit by his own vehicle.
The accident happened at a construction area on I-30 near Texarkana, the first accident causing a chain reaction of three other wrecks, injuring at least 7 people.
Osman was airlifted to the hospital in Longview, Tex., in critical condition. He passed away Saturday morning. All the other Harding students involved were not seriously injured.
Osman is survived by his parents, Ty Sr. and Nancy, and two sisters, Adair and Kendall. Funeral arrangements are still pending.
