Sandra Salter, a member of the Geneva church of Christ, Geneva, AL, enjoys studying the Bible and class books. This was evident recently in Wednesday night ladies class when the ladies were studying The Pearl Seeker by Becky Blackmon. Sandra purchased some stick-on pearls at the local Dollar Tree.
When she was studying the lessons at home, she stuck the tiny pearls on points of interest throughout her book. Sandra has dug deeper for the pearls of God’s Word and is far ahead of the class. Already she has depleted her supply of pearls.
Recently Becky was friended on Facebook by Glenda Williams. When she saw the above picture of Sandra and heard her “pearl story,” she sent these words to Sandra. “Please tell the sister with the Pearl’s stuck in her book that her idea is terrific! I love it.” To the class members, she said, “Please tell the sisters I am praying for them as they study ‘pearls.'”
Becky has a new book just released in February, Seek the Precious Moments, which is reviewed favorably in the May/June 2019 issue of Christian Woman magazine.
Becky Blackmon, the author of the books, is the daughter of New England missionaries and a graduate of Abilene Christian University. She is married to Jeff Blackmon and they have two children and five grandchildren and reside in Waco, Texas. Becky states: “My greatest desire is to please God and to do His will.”
And somewhere in lower Alabama, Sandra Salter echos her thoughts.
