TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (BNC) — Natanael Santos, Dominican student at the Baxter Institute, preached at the Diamante church plant. His wife Lea taught the kids’ class under a shade tree. Then at the end of the services three men and one woman asked to be baptized.

In the Diamante area there is no running water, but that did not stop Timoteo, a campus worker who initiated this work. He drove down the mountain to find water, filled up a barrel with water in the back of his pickup, and Natanael baptized the four.

This reminds us of those ancient words in Acts 8.36, “Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?”

This story, part of a Baxter Institute report, was shared by Jan Towell in her email to World English Institute teachers.
