HICKMAN COUNTY, Tenn (BNc) — A terrible accident claimed the lives of Laura Shelburne and two of her children, Claire and Will, Friday, June 27, near Mile Marker 161 on I-40 west of Nashville, Tenn.
Terry Shelburne, Laura’s husband, was taken to the Trauma Unit at Vanderbilt, and son, Abel, was taken to the Children’s Unit at the hospital.
An eastbound tractor-trailer rig, hit by a pickup truck attempting to change lanes, left the road, crossed the median, and slammed headlong into the car in which the Shelburnes were traveling.
The Shelburnes were active in the church in the Dickson area. Laura Shelburne is the daughter of Ray and Neva Nanney of Bells, Tenn. Ray is an elder with the church of Christ at Crossroads Road, in Bells.
Charles Yawn, minister, is asking for prayers for the family and especially for the recovery of Terry and Abel.
