Brazil children's home

BrazilKids children with director Eduardo (l)

CABREUVA, Brazil (BNc) by Eduardo Favoratto — October is a favorite of the children, since on Children’s Day (October 12) many groups organize trips to the children’s home to deliver presents and promote festive activities.

In October we received several groups. Itupeva’s Chief of Police Sonia has an excellent relationship with police chiefs in our region, and she always brings with her many employees in the area of security and law enforcement, who show great generosity toward the children and adolescents.

Our brethren from the Embu congregation came, as did employees from the Nobre company, Veicom (car dealership chain), and the Mello laboratory, represented as usual by Dr. Aline and nurse Paula. Some denominations also show concern by bringing food and presents.

We have been greatly blessed. Our God has been gracious toward us to provide for this project which belongs to him.

BrazilKids is a work of churches of Christ in Brazil, located in the state of São Paulo. It also serves the city of Cabreuva in an official capacity and receives monies from the city for that work.

The home, known in Brazil as Lar Cristão de Assistência aos Menores, currently cares for 25 children and adolescents.

The board of directors is made up of Christian representatives from various congregations. The employees are also Christians.

Southern Christian Home in Morrilton, Ark., receives donations from American churches for the ministry in Brazil.
