Youth rally considers dangerous doctrines

DAVIS CITY, Ia. (BNc) — The Davis City congregation held its annual youth rally May 11-12 on the theme, “Dangerous Doctrines that Destroy Youth.”

The gathering was attended by visitors from three different states.

Attendance numbers were down somewhat from previous years, but those who attended were attentive and left with a better understanding of the topics which were discussed, Eric Richardson, the director of the event, said.

The lessons dealt with Calvinism (Dustin Wilson, Trenton, Mo.), Premillennialism (Caleb Jacobs, Eagleville, Mo.), Co-existence (Bradley Cobb, McLoud, Okla.), and Emotions: the Charismatic Movement (Richard Reinhardt, Blockton, Ia.).

Randal and his wife Vicki have lived and worked in Brazil since Nov. 1984. They have three children, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. He likes to read novels in his back-porch hammock.
