VILONIA, Ark., (BNc) — Another day has drawn to a close and we were blessed with good weather in which to work. Let me begin by thanking the volunteers who poured in from ALL over the state of Arkansas. I won’t even begin to attempt to mention everyone for fear of leaving out some names. Suffice to say that churches of Christ from as far away as 200 miles were here early this morning and worked until they were ready to drop. The number of volunteers jumped significantly now that we have reached the weekend and that was expected. But, it was still overwhelming to see how much people care. THANKS!!! Read more

(BNc) — This is the motto that motivates a never-ending mission to find America’s military that remain missing during combat. These are the words that offer comfort to families struggling with decades of silence and the anxiety that burdens them regarding their loved one’s end. These words speak hope, comfort, and strength.
In Washington, D.C., an office of the Department of Defense (DoD) exists to help bring closure to the files of those military personnel who are listed as missing. Read more

KARUR, India, (BNc) — Brother S. Masilamani, a former Chennai Teacher Training School graduate, has a long history of dedicated work for the Lord, going many places to preach in spite of his heart problems, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
They have a new, although very small, meeting place that he and the brethren there have constructed since last year. The city planners took away their last building to construct a new road. This is as near as he could get to the former location without paying a huge price for property. Part of his original congregation had to meet on the opposite side of Karur. His son George works with this second group. Read more
Churches aid Arkansas town hit by tornado
April 26, 2011
VILONIA, Ark. (BNc) – A tornado destroyed part of this Central Arkansas town last night, as a dozen twisters left their mark on the state.
Evangelist Ted Knight noted that his sponsoring church, the Levy congregation in North Little Rock, has already sent supplies and is organizing help for the town residents.
In an email today, Ted wrote, “Our phone has been ringing off the wall, and we are thankful for that, because it shows the interest and concerns of so many for the people in our State who have suffered from the tornados last night. I have been to Vilonia today, and it is just heart-breaking to see what has happened. However, it is a time of opportunity for us as God’s people to once again let the beauty of Jesus to be shown in us.” Read more
