JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (BNc) — The funeral of Milton Webster, elder at the Jacksonville congregation in Jacksonville, Ala., will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 11:00 at the church building. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at the Gray Brown Funeral Home in Anniston, Ala.

Brother Webster died Sunday, Oct. 17 at about 4:00 pm.

Milton was the elder who had oversight of Polishing the Pulpit, the annual Smokey Mountain Marriage Retreat and House to House/Heart to Heart.  He raised two gospel preachers who continue to have an impact on the Lord’s kingdom: Allen Webster, Editor of House to House/Heart to Heart, Director for Polishing the Pulpit and the pulpit preacher for the Jacksonville church of Christ,  Wade Webster preaches for the Southhaven congregation in Mississippi, and  Milton’s daughter Missy is married to Tracy Moore who preaches for a congregation in Tennessee.

The congregation asks that you please keep his wife Diana in your prayers, along with the entire Webster family.

Robert Whiten, an elder at the Jacksonville congregation, said of Webster, “He was a fine man who stood for the truth. We are going to miss him.”
