Columbia, Tenn. (BNc) — Arthur Calvin Hardison, 70, minister at the Antioch church and resident of B. Kerr Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital.

Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Graymere congregation with Bobby Sampson officiating.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Arthur Hardison and Annie Louise Andrews Hardison. He was a graduate of Spring Hill High School and attended David Lipscomb University. He retired from Union Carbide and was a lifelong farmer. For forty-four years he was a minister of the Gospel. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years, Betty Lou Cheek Hardison of Columbia; two sons, Russell Calvin “Rusty” (Tonya) Hardison of Chattanooga, Richard Mark “Ricky” Hardison of Thompson’s Station; daughter, Lucinda Ann “Cindy” (Daryl) Tomlin of Lynnville; daughter-in-law Alicia Brooks Hardison of Columbia; two sisters, Janice (Cecil) McNeese of Pulaski, Joyce Hardison of Columbia; brother, Charles (Janice) Hardison of Cornersville; and seven grandchildren Casey Hardison, Molly Hardison, Nick Hardison all of Chattanooga, Andrew Tomlin, Benjamin Tomlin, Toby Tomlin, Ryan Tomlin all of Lynnville.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Porter Hardison.
