MONTGOMERY, Ala. (BNc) — Faulkner University locked down its campus yesterday, Dec. 3, after a threat appeared on Facebook, a social networking site on the Internet.

A parent who had gone to campus for an event wrote on Facebook that he was told a “student [had] threatened to shoot some people.”

The person in question was taken into custody by the Montgomery Police Department.

The lockdown was lifted about an hour later.

No harm was done to anyone nor was any property damaged, according to the university’s website.

Classes were cancelled Thursday night, but Friday’s schedule resumed normally, according to a news release from the university.
