HENDERSON, Tenn. (BNc) – Lindsey D. Warren died Thursday, September 24, at the age of 59.

Warren was the son of the late Dr. Thomas B. and Faye Warren.

Warren received his Phd in Communications at the University of Oklahoma. He formerly served as Campus Minister for the University of Tennessee at Martin and at Freed-Hardeman. He preached for 20 years at the Northeast Church of Christ in Moore, Oklahoma. In 2000 he began working at Freed-Hardeman University as Professor of Speech.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Susan Warren of Henderson, TN; a son, Thomas Bart Warren and wife Laura of Ramer, TN; two sisters, Karen Waters and husband Mike of Arlington, TX and Jan Coleman McCoy and husband Ron of Jonesboro, AR; two twin grandsons, Loukas and Titus Warren; and a host of friends.

Jeff Jenkins, preacher for the Lewisville Church of Christ in Texas, said of Warren, “Lindsey was a dear friend and a great man of God! He was as kind and genuine as any man I have ever known.”

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 1:00-3:30 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, 160 West Cypress Ave, Selmer, Tenn. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 pm. He will be interred at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 am.
