The tornado that hit Windsor, Colo., Thursday caused damage to the church building and has made it unsafe for the congregation there to meet.

They are currently trying to find another meeting place, reported Neal Pollard in his Daily Bread devotional today.

Two members of the congregation had their houses damaged, he said.

The congregation’s website mentions that for information, or to offer assistance, callers may contact Jim Knight at 970-330-3209.

According to the AP, Windsor was the hardest hit area by twin tornados Thursday, as the community of 16,000 about 50 miles north of Denver was left with what amounted to a catastrophe. Power to the town was out as lines were snapped by flying trees and debris that were scattered across the landscape.

A Disaster News Network story quotes Public Information Officer Polly White of the Colorado Division of Emergency Management as saying that six separate tornadoes touched down in the rural community.

Several residents had injuries ranging from broken bones and cuts to bruises as flying items struck at all angles. Authorities went door-to-door checking on residents after the storm.

BNc has requested more information from the congregation about the situation, so check back soon for updates.

Please pray for our brothers and sisters there.
