IGH Speaker Winford Claiborne Suffers Stroke

April 25, 2008

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. (BNc)- International Gospel Hour speaker Winford Claiborne suffered a stroke this past week.

He was unable to hold a gospel meeting at the Meridianville church in North Meridianville, Ala., according to an email from David Lemmons. The meeting was scheduled for Apr. 13-16.

According to reports, he was in ICU in Fayetteville, Tenn., due to a mini-stroke. He left the hospital Wednesday and is staying with his son.

According to his doctors, after a brief period of recuperation, this should in no way interfere with his work as the speaker for the IGH, the IGH office said today.

“Brother Claiborne was one of my teachers at F-HU and has done a great amount of good among us in the promotion of sound doctrine. Let’s all pray that he will be able to continue his good work,” wrote Lemmons.

Brother Claiborne also serves as an evangelist for the West Fayetteville church, which oversees the IGH.

Cards and letters may be sent to his home address at 2 Lakewood Lane, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

I pray brother Claiborne recovers fully. We have used some of his writings in our classes. They are very good.

Got something to say?
