Church Bus Accident Kills One, Injures More

MAYFIELD, Ky. (BNc)- A tragic incident in Mayfield has resulted in several injuries and at least one death.

Lance Cordle, preacher for the Calvert City church, wrote at 8:15 tonight that a bus from the Seven Oaks (formerly, Seventh & College) church was taking elderly members to or from the evening service there. An SUV apparently ran a red light and rammed the bus.

At least one woman was killed, and several were injured. Ryan Scherer, one of their preachers, has asked for prayers for the family of Linda Stem, who died in the accident, and for those injured.

Also pray for the one driving the SUV and the Seven Oaks congregation.
