He was the founder in 1962 and Director of Sunset School of Preaching, now known as Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock.

He retired in 1993 as Director of the school, and in 2006 as Chancellor.

He has been credited with introducing the preacher training concept in the brotherhood.

“Cline has done as much for world evangelism and training men to preach the gospel as any person I know,” said Wayne Hatcher, preacher with the Horse Cave, Ky., church and a 1973 graduate of SIBI.

Paden and other missionaries in Italy received national attention in the 1950s for their preaching of the gospel midst opposition. He later went to Denmark in 1957, according to LubbockOnline.com, and served for over 30 years as an elder with the Sunset church.

The SIBI site maintained updates on his condition in recent weeks. For more information on burial, see the SIBI notice.
